Volunteering

Volunteering

Hartley House offers many opportunities to volunteer. We welcome visitors and volunteers from many organizations who visit the home. If you are part of a volunteer organization or if you simply wish to give up some of your time to help others then we can offer a range of suggestions.

Our activities are co-ordinated and managed by the Wellbeing Coordinator who works with the volunteers to ensure a consistent approach to activities and provides guidance for the volunteers for a weekly program.

All regular volunteers will receive a free DBS check and training as appropriate.

Relatives and friends are welcome to take residents out on special visits. This can be to a favourite restaurant, a movie or even just shopping at the local supermarket. Keeping contacts within the community is very important and even the shortest outing is much appreciated.
